Shopping in Sertar(Serthar or Seda)
Due to the unique climate and altitude, there are various plants and animals in Sertar(Serthar or Seda) County, including valuable Chinese medicine like Anemarrhena, angelica, medlar, etc. All those are good options for shopping. Besides Chinese medicine, Buddhist beads, khata(traditional ceremonial scarf in Tibetan Buddhism) and other decorations are also good souvenirs.
The main shopping area in Larung Gar Buddhist Academy is located near Lama Scripture Hall, where there are many shops, selling Buddhist beads and other Buddhist decorations, which are inexpensive. If you meet Monk in Buddha School you can ask him to give blessing to your Buddhist beads or other ornaments, which is really significant. Though you are not believer, this is a precious souvenir.
During Puja period in Larung Gar Buddhist Academy, hours of various shops are different, so you should consult the time in advance.

Stuff in Han Shop is much cheaper, like khata(traditional ceremonial scarf in Tibetan Buddhism) of 10 Yuan per each; backpacks craved with name of Larung Gar Buddhist Academy and Mandala is 15 Yuan per each; scripture flags are from 5 to 15 Yuan according to the quality.
